‘Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ Gets Season 5 Renewal After Massive Ratings Win

Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends has been renewed for a fifth season by Disney Branded Television. This announcement comes as the show’s third season is airing on Disney Jr., with Season 4 set to premiere this summer.
The show has become a big hit with kids. In late 2024, it was the second-most-watched streaming show for children ages 2-5, even beating out popular shows like ‘Paw Patrol’ and ‘Cocomelon’. It only trails behind ‘Bluey’. The series has also hit one billion hours watched on Disney Jr. and Disney+, with over two billion views on YouTube through Disney Jr. and Marvel HQ channels.
Besides TV, the show’s success extends into toys, books, and music. It ranks among the top five best-selling preschool toy brands worldwide and has released soundtracks through Walt Disney Records. There’s even a stage show, ‘Disney Jr. Live on Tour: Let’s Play’, that features a segment with Spidey.
This preschool series, Marvel’s first-ever, follows Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales. They work together with other superheroes to solve problems and defeat villains, all while teaching kids teamwork and helping others.
The show is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios, with Atomic Cartoons involved. Key producers include Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett, and Chris Moreno, with Becca Topol as producer and story editor. The theme song is composed and performed by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.
Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, shared how much kids enjoy the series. Brad Winderbaum from Marvel added that Spider-Man’s popularity with all ages makes this show an exciting way for kids to dive into the Marvel Universe.
