Mephisto’s Role in ‘Ironheart’ Might Not Be as Big as We’ve Hoped Rumors Claim

Episode 3 of ‘Agatha All Along’ directly referenced a significant character from Marvel Comics: Mephisto. While Mephisto has been mentioned in the 2012 ‘Avengers’ film, this episode’s explicit mention has reignited hopes among fans that he may make an appearance in the show.

During ‘WandaVision,’ fans were similarly excited by indirect teases of Mephisto as a potential villain, only to be let down. However, with ‘Agatha All Along,’ there’s a genuine reason for optimism about his involvement.

While Mephisto may not make an appearance in ‘Agatha All Along,’ he is expected to show up in ‘Ironheart,’ a Disney+ series slated for release in 2025.

‘Ironheart’ will center on Riri Williams, who is seen as Tony Stark’s successor in the MCU. Her standalone show is described as a blend of technology, magic, and demons, where the young superhero will likely need to use her technical skills to tackle supernatural threats.

Deadline reported two years ago that Mephisto would appear in the series, with Sacha Baron Cohen rumored to portray the character. According to these reports, Mephisto was originally set to debut in ‘Ironheart’ before the release of ‘Agatha All Along,’ but since the release schedule has been switched, we’re going to have to wait a little while.

During his most recent AMA, Alex Perez of Cosmic Circus has stated that Mephisto’s role in the show will be “very light.”

Fans speculated that The Hood/Parker Robbins in ‘Ironheart’ might be revealed as Nicholas Scratch, Agatha’s son, who was traded to Mephisto for the Darkhold. Alex Perez responded that he isn’t certain this theory is accurate. Another fan asked about Mephisto’s role in ‘Ironheart,’ to which Alex clarified that it would be a very light supporting role.

‘Agatha All Along’ did wonders for the supernatural side of the MCU, and we quite frankly cannot wait to see more, but it seems ‘Ironheart’ won’t be it.
