Miley Cyrus is a global pop singer who has won millions of fans with some of her biggest hits such as “Party in the U.S.A., Wrecking Ball, Midnight Sky,” and many others. But did you know that besides being an extremely successful performer, Miley also has several interesting voice roles to add to her resume? That’s right, Miley has lent her voice to several different characters in various movies, and even if it was for a brief moment, she also had a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 as Mainframe. So, let’s see what was all that about.

The Guardians of The Galaxy franchise is known for some great voice roles

The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are filled with characters for which voice roles are needed. Sure, Groot is the one that pops in mind first, and Vin Diesel did a perfect job of voicing this humanoid tree. And let’s not forget about Rocket Racoon, who is voiced by another popular actor, Bradley Cooper.

Groot and Rocket are among the central characters in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, so we are all familiar with them. Still, some minor characters are forgotten or lost in the post-credit scenes. And that’s the case with Mainframe, Miley Cyrus’s character.

Miley Cyrus and other big names like Sylvester Stalone, Michelle Yeoh, Ving Rhames, and Michael Rosenbaum appear in the mid-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. They all portray elite Ravagers members that are part of Stakar Ogord’s (Silvester Stalone) Team. They all get together after Yondu’s death to pay their respects to him, as he was one of them.

Miley voices Mainframe, an artificial intelligence and a leader of Mainframe Ravager Clan, and she does not say much – only ”I miss you guys so much!” in a cute voice.

There were speculations that Miley could return as Mainframe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. had five credit and post-credits scenes in total, and considering all of them are only seconds long, it’s no wonder that sometimes we need more time to remember them all. Luckily, social media are a great way to help us with that.

Interestingly enough, the movie’s director, James Gunn, replied to this tweet, saying he’s the one who remembers it. Apparently, Gunn noticed Miley Cyrus when she was one of the judges in a singing contest, The Voice. He shared with Buzzfeed News that he found her likable and sweet, so he offered her a role.

Gunn considered the possibility of prolonging collaboration with Miley in future projects, as there was a chance that there would be room for the Mainframe character to develop some more presence.

However, that did not happen, and Miley was replaced. Voice actor Tara Strong became the voice of Mainframe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. This is now Tara’s second role in the MCU, as she already voiced Miss Minutes in the Disney+ series ”Loki.”

Nevertheless, it is fair to say that Miley Cyrus is a talented and successful artist with great accomplishments both as a singer and in voice roles. Her cameo as Mainframe wasn’t the first time she did something like that. Some of the Disney characters she has lent her voice to include Celebrity Starr in The Replacements, Yatta in The Emperor’s New School, and Penny in the 2008 animated movie Bolt. And we’re sure that’s not the last we’ve seen and heard from her in this field.
