‘Mononoke’ Second Film Releases New, Battle-Filled Trailer

Anime fans will probably have heard of Mononoke. This strange and very original anime series, inspired by Japanese folklore, has been a cult hit loved by many for its unusual style and boldness. And while Mononoke never became part of the mainstream, it has a devoted following.
The fans are, of course, happy that the franchise will be getting a new feature-length anime movie, Mononoke Second Chapter: Hinezumi (Mononoke the Movie Trilogy: Chapter 2: The Ashes of Rage), whose premiere is scheduled for March 14, 2025. Now, a new trailer has been released!

As you can see, the movie promises to deliver an epic cinematic experience and we are looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.
As for the cast, we know that Hiroshi Kamiya will reprise his role as the Medicine Seller. Other returning cast includes Haruka Tomatsu as Botan Ōtomo, Yōko Hikasa as Fuki Tokita, and Yūki Kaji as Saburōmaru Tokita.
New cast members include Chō as Yoshimichi Tokita, Kenyuu Horiuchi as Rōjū Ōtomo (elderly Ōtomo), Ryō Horikawa as Fujimaki, Naomi Kusumi as Katsunuma, Yoshiko, Sakakibara as Suikōin, Yukana as Sayo, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Sachiko
Aina The End will perform the film’s theme song “Hana Musō.”
As said, the movie is coming out this Friday in Japan and we hope that it will be a big success!
