Moon Knight vs. Thor: Who Is Stronger & Would Win in a Fight?

Both Moon Knight and Thor are iconic Marvel Characters, and despite both having, sort of, divine powers, they are vastly different in terms of what they can deliver and how they approach a fight. This is why we think that the matchup between the two would be interesting. We decided to stage a hypothetical fight between the Crescent Crusader and the God of Thunder to see how they would fare in a fight. When it comes to a fight between Moon Knight and Thor, who is more powerful, and who would win in a fight?
Thor is vastly more powerful than Moon Knight and would be able to win a fight against him easily. Thor is stronger, faster, more durable, and has a vastly bigger power output. There’s really not much that Moon Knight has going for him except for the fact that he can be resurrected by Khonshu if he happens to die. It would be a fairly straightforward fight that Thor would win.
Now that we’ve covered who is more powerful and who would win, it’s time to analyze the details. If you’re interested in more, stay with us and keep reading!
Powers and abilities
Moon Knight was not always Khonshu’s champion, as he was born as a regular human albeit one with a certain affinity for violence and fighting in general. Moon Knight got his powers during a tragic accident during which he was left for dead near Khonshu’s statue, a deity that decided to grant him a portion of his powers in exchange for Spector to serve as his champion.
As Moon god’s champion, Moon Knight’s powers are affected by moon phases, and these powers mostly translate to his physical attributes being enhanced.
I believe Thor needs an introduction since his powers are legendary and divine in nature. As a God of Thunder, Thor’s most destructive ability is that he can discharge powerful lightning strikes capable of great destruction and take down some of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Comics Universe.
Thor can also create force fields if needed. He can discharge various forms of elemental energy, as he can channel even fire, water, earth, and air. Thor can manipulate souls and summon various creatures to aid him in combat, and in some instances, he proved himself powerful enough to be able to bend space-time and reality as he pleases.
With everything said, Thor outclasses Moon Knight regarding powers and abilities, as Moon Knight has nothing to go up against the God of Thunder. Our first point goes to Thor.
Points: Moon Knight (0:1) Thor
Strength and stamina
Moon Knight can lift around 450 lbs, but during specific Moon Phases, he can easily raise the bar and lift even more, up to 2 tons. Moon Knight can be quite physically strong if the moon aligns perfectly when he needs it.
The same goes for Moon Knight’s stamina reserves; even without Khonshu’s empowerment, he was able to fight longer than average human due to his history as a soldier and years of training, but with Khonshu’s empowerment this goes to another level completely, and Moon Knight’s stamina is raised to superhuman levels.
Thor can lift more than 100 tons due to his divine nature. He is not only among the most powerful Asgardians but also among the physically strongest characters in Marvel. Thor is nearly unmatched in terms of stamina as he can exhaust himself for seemingly infinite amounts of time; his body will produce next to nothing fatigue toxins because he is an Asgardian, and they are built differently to sustain long periods of extreme fatigue.
In terms of strength and stamina, there are only a few characters in comics that can match Thor, and Moon Knight is not one of them. This point goes to Thor.
Points: Moon Knight (0:2) Thor
Speed
Moon Knight can move at the speeds of the finest human athletes. This is once again due to years of training before he even became Moon Knight. With Khonshu’s blessings, Moon Knight’s speed goes to superhuman levels. Marc is able to move extremely fast during combat, as his reflexes and reaction times are much better than those of the average human. Even though flying is not in his power set, Moon Knight can emulate flight to some extent by gliding with his cape.
Thor is known to be able to fly through space at speeds massively faster than light. This is due to his powers and due to the fact that he can fly by using Mjolnir. Thor’s extreme speed is not limited to flying only, as he proved time and time again that he is almost unreachable during combat due to his godlike reflexes and reaction times, despite often fighting with heavy and bulky weapons.
Thor is much faster than Moon Knight, both in combat and outside of it; the point goes to the God of Thunder.
Points: Moon Knight (0:3) Thor
Durability
Moon Knight can be hurt with conventional weapons or, for example, falling from great heights, but he will not be hurt as easily as a regular human as he does have some form of enhanced durability granted to him by the moon god. Moon Knight is also famously known to tolerate pain well, as he often goes to great lengths to prove his point in combat and refuses to back down even when horribly hurt. What’s interesting is that Moon Knight is technically immortal, as Khonshu will resurrect him if he dies.
As an Asgardian, Thor has unmatched durability. He is difficult to injure, and his skin proved to be impervious to hits from Marvel’s most powerful weapons and cosmic deities. Thor can tank planet-level destruction, walking away unharmed. He is also immune to most diseases and poisons. He also doesn’t age as fast as a regular human. For a mortal or slightly enhanced superhuman, Thor might prove to be impossible to kill.
Thor is vastly more durable than Moon Knight, and it’s unlikely that Moon Knight can throw anything at Thor to make him even slightly injured.
Points: Moon Knight (0:4) Thor
Intelligence
Moon Knight has dissociative identity disorder, this was a coping mechanism he created to deal with terrible childhood trauma, and it gave him some edge in fighting as he is considered to be an extremely unpredictable opponent that even Taskmaster struggled with him. Moon Knight has enhanced brain function. He is not a genius by any means, but his brain function is changed profoundly due to the moon god’s influence. His mind was “rebuilt” as god’s weapon.
The full extent of the changes to Marc’s mind is unknown, but he is capable of resisting the full scope of most telepathic attacks, and it is said that he has complete control over his mindscape.
Thor is ancient, which means that he has the wisdom of the ages on his side. Thor was created for war. He has vast experience when it comes to combat, tactics, and strategizing. He is also quite versed in mythologies, occults, and Asgardian technology.
Although he was never among the smartest characters in Marvel, Thor proved himself time and time again to be a capable commander and able to learn at an extremely fast pace, especially when it comes to mastering weapons and ways to fight.
Both Moon Knight and Thor are above average humans when it comes to intelligence, and where Thor gains points for his experience Moon Knight also gains points for having an advanced mindscape, this point goes to both of them.
Points: Moon Knight (1:5) Thor
Combat Skills
Before he became Moon Knight, Marc Spector was a trained soldier, and later a mercenary, and his love for fighting started in his teenage years when he practiced boxing and self-defense to protect his brother Randall from bullies. This means that he has vast experience fighting both armed and armed, and as such, he is considered to be among the greatest combatants in Marvel Universe.
He also underwent training with several masters in Boxing, Judo, Krav Maga, Silat, Dambe, Savate, Escrima, Karate, Muay Thai, and Kung Fu. His knowledge and abilities are so advanced that he can use pressure points to stun or instantly incapacitate his opponents. Moon Knight fought the Punisher to a standstill, the greatest proof of his skills.
Once again, Thor was created for warfare, and he led many wars alongside his father, conquering many different places. Due to his age, he learned a thing or two over the years and mastered nearly all weapons in existence. He is a master of warfare, and few understand it better than he does.
Over the centuries, Thor has honed his abilities to the point where he is just as deadly with traditional Asgardian weapons as he is with his energy-manipulating powers. When it comes to combat expertise, Thor is unmatched, and this makes him an incredibly dangerous opponent in battle.
Thor has vastly more experience fighting than Moon Knigth does, and this is why the point goes to him.

Moon Knight vs. Thor: who is stronger & who wins in a fight?
I mean, the points are fairly straightforward this time, and there is no hidden catch. Thor is stronger & more powerful than Moon Knight, and he would have no trouble dealing with him. Even enhanced to the max by Khonshu, Moon Knight has nothing to deal with Thor or hurt him in any way, he can only hope to prove to be unstable enough to play on Thor’s fears, but even this doesn’t seem as likely. Thor wins.
