Morena Baccarin Filmed a Scene for ‘Deadpool 2’ That Caused Damage to Her Eyes & the Scene Was Ultimately Cut: “Hollywood can be ruthless”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is MCU’s most recent release, and judging by the box-office performance, fans are loving it. The movie saw the return of the cast of the previous installments as well as the return of other legacy characters from live-action Marvel properties.

The behind-the-scenes photos showed that everyone had a good time filming the movie, but that doesn’t necessarily true for other installments in the franchise.

Morena Baccarin who returned to ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ previously spoke about how she hated the romantic scenes between her and Ryan Reynolds, mostly due to them being awkward because of Deadpool’s costume. The actress also opened up speaking to Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast about how ‘Deadpool 2’ caused damage to her eyes.

Baccarin’s character initially dies in Deadpool 2, only to be resurrected at the end of the movie when Wade steals a time-traveling device from Cable, but it seems that some scenes in the movie are brutal.

They sunk the entire apartment in a tank underwater and we had to be weighed down so that I could sit in a chair — It had, like, an escape hatch, that you had to swim to find but it was also really dark, you know, and it was panic-inducing. It was awful.

The worst part is, that the scene ended up being cut from the film.

“It wasn’t even in the film, made me so mad,”
