‘Mothra: Queen of the Monsters’ #1 Will Include Epic Battles and Time Travel
Mothra: Queen of the Monsters #1 is hitting shelves on March 5th, kicking off a wild ride filled with huge kaiju battles and a time travel quest. Mira, a young woman living in a ruined world, believes she lost her family in a brutal fight between Mothra and the monstrous Antra.
But everything changes when her long-lost twin shows up with two magical fairies. According to her sister, Mira might hold the secret to bringing Mothra back and saving the Earth.
The world has fallen into chaos after Mothra’s defeat. Kaiju are rampaging, and humans have been forced to hide. Despite this, Mira is about to take part in a risky journey to the Jurassic period to retrieve Mothra’s egg. This egg might be the only thing that can restore balance and give humanity a fighting chance.
The comic is crafted by Sophie Campbell, known for her work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Matt Frank, who has made his mark on Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. Together, they’re bringing a gripping story filled with fierce monsters, heart-pounding moments, and time-travel thrills.
The debut issue features artwork by Matt Frank, who also created some stunning variant covers. There are three different covers to choose from: the main cover, one by Sophie Campbell, and a special black-and-white variant.
The comic is set to release on March 5, 2025, and will be priced at $4.99.
