New Concept Art Revealed for ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ During D23, Pedro Pascal Confirmed to Return

The next Star Wars movie fans can look forward to is The Mandalorian & Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau and co-written with Dave Filoni, the movie continues the story from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, starring Pedro Pascal.
Production of The Mandalorian season 4 was delayed because of the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes, so Lucasfilm decided to focus on this film instead. Announced in January 2024, filming for the movie began in California in August 2024.
Tonight, during Lucasfilm’s D23 panel new concept art from the movie was revealed:
It’s also been confirmed that Pedro Pascal will return to his iconic role. No new teasers or trailers have been released tonight.
Not much is known about the plot so far but the official description of the movie states: “The Mandalorian, a lone bounty hunter, is tasked with capturing Grogu, a mysterious and adorable creature. Instead, he forms a strong bond with Grogu and strives to protect him from various threats, exploring his evolving purpose in a post-Empire galaxy.“
