“Deadpool & Wolverine,” still lighting up theaters, has quickly become one of the year’s most anticipated films. With its multiverse concept and the long wait leading up to its release, fans expected plenty of Easter eggs and surprise cameos.

We’ve already covered many of these hidden details, diving into the various moments and characters that have thrilled audiences. However, one character has sparked particular interest: Gambit, portrayed by Channing Tatum, marking a significant moment for fans.

Tatum was originally set to star in a canceled solo Gambit film, but “Deadpool & Wolverine” gave him the chance to finally bring the character to life. While Gambit’s ultimate fate remains a hot topic of discussion, a newly surfaced deleted scene from the movie appears to shed light on what happens to him!

The scene offers a brief glimpse—after the battle at Nova’s HQ, Gambit is seen walking among the fallen enemies. He suddenly turns to face the camera as an orange light, reminiscent of a portal to another universe, illuminates his face. He gazes at the light with a smirk.

At the movie’s end, Deadpool requested that the TVA look after his friends—Elektra, Blade, Gambit, and X-23. The TVA assured him they would handle it, suggesting they wouldn’t leave them stranded in the Void. While this clip doesn’t provide official confirmation, it hints that Gambit might be returning to his universe, aligning with the TVA’s promise.

This would also imply that Elektra, Blade, and X-23 have likely returned to their respective universes. However, we’ll need official confirmation to be certain.

One puzzle remains: Gambit doesn’t appear to have his own universe. Before this film, Channing Tatum hadn’t portrayed him, and the movie doesn’t establish a specific storyline or universe for the character. Gambit’s smirk might suggest he’s about to discover more about his origins, potentially in a new or existing universe, though it’s unclear which.
