New ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Set Images Confirm the Presence of a Fan-Favorite Villain

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU, set to release on July 25, 2025. Based on set leaks, everything looks promising so far.

The movie will take place in an alternate reality where the Fantastic Four are already an established team. It’s also expected to feature some of their most famous villains.

The cast for First Steps includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, with Moss-Bachrach using CGI and performance capture for his role.

Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, also known as the MCU’s Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson will portray Galactus, one of Marvel’s most powerful villains (depending on how you see him). Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

For months now, rumors have been circulating that Mole Man will also appear in the movie, and it seems like those rumors have been confirmed via the latest set images.

The images in question show Subterranea, or at least the concept of Subterranea. This is a fictional underground world in Marvel Comics, home to various creatures and civilizations that live beneath the Earth’s surface. It is often portrayed as a dangerous and mysterious place, with characters like the Mole Man and his followers being its most well-known inhabitants.

A few weeks ago, one big hint also confirmed Mole Man’s presence. Apparently, Tony McCarthy, a recurring MCU actor, has been cast as a Moloid Person in ‘First Steps,’ according to IMDb.

Moloids are a race of underground creatures in Marvel Comics. They live in a hidden place called Subterranea and are often seen working for the villain Mole Man. Moloids are usually portrayed as loyal followers and sometimes help the Mole Man in his plans to take over the surface world.

Latest reports claim that the Fantastic Four will fight against Mole Man at the start of the movie.
