New Information About Ultraman in James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ Reportedly Revealed

James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ recently wrapped filming, and now it’s entering a new and exciting production stage. We had the honor to follow Cleveland’s filming in great detail thanks to the fans and media covering sets, and scenes on a daily basis, and most of what we know about the movie stems exactly from that. Even though, Gunn said multiple times that he would never shoot spoilers in the open.

One of the most interesting things that could be seen on the set was a mysterious villain who fans identified either as Ulysses or Ultraman, mostly due to the giant “U” symbol on the chest of the suit.

Considering the appearance of the suit plenty of fans claim that the most obvious choice for the villain is Ulysses. The other front claims that it’s Ultraman since the character was already teased to be the main villain of the movie months ago. Gunn “debunked” this rumor.

Gunn claimed that the main villain of the movie will be Lex Luthor, however, he didn’t exactly deny that Ultraman will appear in the movie. It’s also important to note that so far some things that Gunn “debunked” in the past already come true, first and foremost the design of the suit itself.

Now there is some new information floating around the depths of the internet, regarding Ultraman. The source is Cleveland.com AMA on Reddit. I admit it’s a pretty weird source but the context is that the Cleveland.com journalists have been following the production of the movie on set in amazing detail while the movie was shooting in Cleveland so they likely have more information than your average leaker online.

In any case, the journalist claims that the mysterious villain is slightly more physically imposing than Corenswet’s Superman and that all signs truly do point to him being Ultraman.
