New ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ Concept Art Reveals Movie Was Going to Be Much Bigger
Tacit Sign Studio has just released some never-before-seen concept art (see below) from the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. This new artwork offers a glimpse into what the movie could have looked like if things went as originally planned. But what happened to the movie’s big ambitions?
From the art, it’s clear that the team had big ideas for the next installment in the Sonic movie series. The designs are more detailed and creative than anything we saw in the final product.
The characters and environments look more dynamic and fit the fast-paced world of Sonic. It’s evident that the movie was intended to be even bigger than the previous ones.
However, something caused a shift in the plan. It’s hard to say exactly what led to the change, really, but here is what the movie might have looked like:

The concept art shows us different scenes of well-known characters like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, as well as some intriguing new designs that never made it to the screen. These designs were likely part of the original vision for the movie, but we’ll never know how they would have been used.
Fans are left wondering what could have been if the movie had followed the original vision. The art makes it clear that there was potential for a more elaborate and visually stunning Sonic movie.
