New Supe To Be Introduced in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 & ‘Vought Rising’ According to Casting Details

Several weeks ago we learned that ‘The Boys’ universe is set to significantly expand in the coming years. Fans can look forward to ‘The Boys’ season 5 – the final season of the show, ‘Gen V’ season 2, ‘The Boys: Mexico’ and the highly awaited ‘Vought Rising’ spinoff prequel set in the 1950s.

When it comes to ‘Vought Rising’ only two names were confirmed to appear in the show, Jensen Ackles reprising his role as Soldier Boy, and Aya Cash reprising her role as Stormfront.

Paul Grellong, executive producer of ‘The Boys,’ will serve as showrunner, with Eric Kripke and the main creative team from ‘The Boys’ franchise also involved. Other executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and several others.

Now the details regarding the upcoming prequels are scarce but new casting details brought to light by Nexus Point News claim that a new important supe is on the way, both for ‘Vought Rising’ and ‘The Boys’ Season 5.

Flyboy is a white man in his 20s to 30s, a former charismatic combat pilot turned junkie with a troubled past. Despite being haunted by his trauma, he remains confident and captivating, especially in front of cameras, impressing the world and attracting women.

As far as we can say currently, Flyboy is an original character that isn’t present in the comics, just like Firecracker and Sister Sage were originally created for ‘The Boys’ season 4.

Due to the 70-year time gap between The Boys and the prequel Vought Rising set in the 1950s, Flyboy may have decelerated aging, similar to Soldier Boy and Stormfront, who are expected to be the leads of the new series. Given their military backgrounds, Flyboy and Soldier Boy likely share a history, which may be explored in ‘Vought Rising.’

We’re likely going to see a brief “tease” of Soldier Boy’s and Flyboy’s relationship in the finale season of ‘The Boys’ before their background is revealed in the prequel.

The release date for ‘Vought Rising’ is so far, unknown. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
