One More MCU Street-Level TV Series Reportedly Depends on the Success of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ is one of the most exciting upcoming MCU releases, mostly due to the popularity of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ show. The series is supposed to merge Daredevil’s existing canon and supporting characters with the MCU canon, and fans couldn’t be more excited for this beginning of a street-level phase in the cinematic universe.

This is especially true considering that fan reaction to the Multiverse concept so far hasn’t been that stellar and there is an increasing need to make more grounded and street-level stories.

Now we know that ‘Born Again’ will bring back some old faces, like Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen, Elden Henson’s Foggy, D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and Bernthal’s Punisher, but according to rumors, the execs are considering one more show that’s set to introduce more Defenders to the MCU.

According to Comicodigy’s sources, Marvel is reportedly contemplating a ‘Heroes for Hire’ series featuring Mike Colter and Finn Jones, contingent on the success of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’

Heroes for Hire is a team of superheroes who offer their services for a fee. The original and most notable members include Iron Fist and Luke Cage, with Jessica Jones, Mistress of the Martial Arts, Shang-Chi, and The Black Cat completing the roster. The team has had various iterations and members over the years, but Luke Cage and Iron Fist are the most iconic and foundational characters associated with Heroes for Hire.

Finn Jones spoke in the past about how he would love to return to reprise his role as Iron Fist but Mike Colter was less excited about the prospect, claiming that he doesn’t think about Luke Cage all that much so take this rumor with a grain of salt.

Heroes for Hire would be an interesting and exciting opportunity to merge the rest of the Defenders into the MCU, but it would also be a good opportunity to introduce Black Cat, who is also heavily rumored to appear in ‘Spider-Man 4’ played by Sydney Sweeney.
