‘One World Under Doom’ #2 Preview: The Fantastic Four Have Nothing in Store for Dr. Doom’s New Power

Written by Ryan North and illustrated by R.B. Silva, One World Under Doom will kick off a new chapter in the Marvel Universe, with Doctor Doom taking charge!

Last summer in Blood Hunt, Doctor Doom claimed the title of Sorcerer Supreme—but that was just the beginning. Starting this February, Marvel’s most infamous villain will use his newfound powers to take over the world in One World Under Doom.

This nine-issue event series, written by Ryan North and drawn by R.B. Silva, will reveal the challenges and victories of Doom’s reign while Earth’s heroes struggle to bring him down. The story will also connect with other Marvel comics through tie-in issues, shaking up the entire Marvel Universe.

In March’s One World Under Doom #2, the Fantastic Four confront their greatest enemy, only to face a devastating defeat that will change the team’s future. Despite their deep understanding of Doom, he knows them just as well, making this battle even more dangerous.

While Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm prepare to take on Doom at the United Nations, Doom secretly visits Valeria Richards—the one person he respects, admires, and loves. Can Valeria convince her uncle to change course? And if not, will Doom’s actions bring irreversible consequences for Marvel’s First Family?

As the Avengers grapple with their losses, the Marvel Universe will head into uncharted territory—and the Fantastic Four will never be the same!

“I’ve been working on One World Under Doom since 2023,” North shared. “Having this much time to prepare has been a huge help for a story like this. It lets me make sure everything fits together just right, and for the artists working on tie-ins, I can provide finished scripts instead of just rough ideas. I’m really excited about where this story has gone and the possibilities ahead. It’s also been amazing to hear what other teams have planned for their books to tie into this new status quo—we’re all working together to make it something special.”

ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM #2 is on sale on March 19, 2025.
