Patrick Stewart Reportedly Set to Return in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

The state of the MCU currently is highly exciting. ‘Agatha All Along’ is currently releasing episodes weekly, and we have the first billion-dollar movie in quite some time with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.

There are loads of projects awaiting us in 2025, 2026, and even 2027, and none are as exciting as the two upcoming ‘Avengers’ movies.

‘Doomsday’ is set to introduce Robert Downey Jr. back to the MCU as Doctor Doom, and ‘Secret Wars’ is apparently set to be a multiversal mashup of current Marvel live-action characters and legacy characters that were a thing long before the MCU existed.

Now, industry insider MyTimeToShineHello reports that Patrick Stewart is just one of many rumored characters “confirmed” to reprise his role.

You’re likely aware that Professor X died during the events of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ as he was killed by Scarlet Witch. If Stewart ends up reprising his role it’s going to be through a variant.

Gamora and Loki returned through variants as well following their deaths so the concept is not exactly novel in the MCU.

But, take this rumor with a grain of salt since Stewart apparently had a bad experience while filming ‘Doctor Strange’ flick, so we’re not exactly sure whether the actor would be willing to return.

There’s also the fact that Stewart was “confirmed” to appear in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ as well, this is something that Trades also confirmed. The actor wasn’t in the movie although his character was heavily referenced.
