‘Prey’s Naru Actress Comments on a Potential Return: “I would be happy to do another one.”

When Dan Trachtenberg relaunched the Predator franchise, he did it in the best way possible. The franchise was at a strange point of its development and it needed a fresh take, and Trachtenberg provided us with one.
His Prey served as a prequel to the franchise, taking it back to the 18th century. This removed the hi-tech weapons and futuristic elements and provided the fans with a thrilling rivalry between humans using home-made weapons against powerful aliens. And the fans loved it.
Among the most beloved elements was the character of Naru, who served as the franchise’s first female protagonist, and that was a brilliant move by Trachtenberg. The fans absolutely loved Naru, as she proved to be a badass character with a lot of appeal.
And whle Trachtenberg is currently working on two Predator-related projects, the fans are wondering whether Naru will be part of at least one of them, the sequel to Prey. In a recent talk, Naru’s actress, Amber Midthunder, commented on the possibility of Naru’s return:
I don’t know. I don’t know what’s happening. [Laughs] I genuinely don’t. I also want to do another one. I would be happy to do another one. I love Dan Trachtenberg with my whole heart. I love that world, I love that character, and I think that there’s some fun ideas out there that I’ve heard that are very cool. I’m really excited. He obviously has Badlands coming out this year, so I’m really excited to see that. Whatever Dan does, I will always be his fan.
As you can see, we don’t know anything yet, but if there is a will, there is usually a way, and we hope that the producers find a way to bring Naru back, as it would be abslutely great to see her again!
