‘Ironheart’ is a new MCU miniseries coming to Disney+, created by Chinaka Hodge and based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Dominique Thorne will play Riri Williams/Ironheart reprising her role after her appearance in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
She will star alongside Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. The series was announced in December 2020 and was at one point in development hell.
Recently, Marvel Studios released a teaser trailer revealing all the upcoming shows for 2024/2025, it’s been confirmed that ‘Ironheart’ will release on June 24, 2025. The teaser showcased a first look at Ramos’ The Hood and lots of mecha action:
The show will see Riri Williams go back home to Chicago. There, she finds secrets that put technology against magic, leading her into a dangerous and exciting journey. It’s been rumored that Mephisto played by Sacha Baron Cohen will play a minor role on the show.
Rumors claim that ‘Ironheart’ will have the same overall tone as MCU’s hit show ‘Ms. Marvel.’ The show will confirm that Riri Williams is bisexual. The first screenings for the show were allegedly positive and episodes will last around 50 minutes on average.
