Regina Hall Hints at Epic Comeback in ‘Scary Movie’ Reboot

The ‘Scary Movie’ franchise is officially coming back to theaters! Marlon Wayans announced on Instagram that the new installment in the hilarious parody series will be released on June 12, 2026, by Paramount Pictures.
Marlon, along with his brothers Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans, are writing the script for the upcoming movie. The trio originally created the franchise. The new project was first revealed at CinemaCon last year, and fans are excited to see the Wayans brothers bring their signature comedy back to the big screen.
Back in October, Marlon Wayans shared his excitement about the new ‘Scary Movie’ project, saying, “After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they’ve been asking for… a return to the Scary Movie franchise!”
The Wayans brothers, along with Rick Alvarez, are writing and producing the new installment. However, the director, cast, and storyline for ‘Scary Movie 6’ have not yet been revealed.
Now Regina Hall has hinted that she might return to the reboot. Speaking with E.T. Hall admitted that she has heard that her character Brenda might be included in the upcoming movie:
“I mean, that’s what I’m hearing” Hall admitted “So we’ll see.“
Hall also discussed how much fun she had filming the original movies and she admitted she was a massive fan of the Wayans brothers.
“Oh we had so much fun. It was so different it was so…it was such a big deal and I was such a fan of Keenen and the Wayans so, it was kinda like a dream come true. I didn’t really know much about the business, I had only done two films.”
