Being one of the most popular “mutants” in the history of X-Men, Quicksilver appeared in live-action plenty of times played by two separate actors. Evan Peters and Aaron Taylor-Johnson had the honors, with Taylor-Johnson’s portrayal being quite frankly forgettable.
This is why when ‘WandaVision’ was looking to “resurrect” the speedster a perfect opportunity presented itself to get everyone’s favorite Quicksilver into the MCU, Evan Peters.
Peters played Quicksilver in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ and ‘Dark Phoenix. His role in ‘WandaVision’ is bit more complicated however.
Peters played Ralph Bohner, a former Westview resident, who was controlled by Agatha Harkness using dark magic. He gained superhuman speed via a magical necklace and posed as Pietro Maximoff to get close to Wanda Maximoff and learn about the creation of the Hex. During the Battle of Westview, Bohner held Monica Rambeau hostage until she freed him from Harkness’ control.
When ‘Agatha All Along’ mid-season teaser teased a mysterious character about to be introduced, we correctly guessed that the show would bring back Bohner. In ‘Agatha All Along’ he goes under the alias Bohnerrific69 and helps The Teen, Billy Maximoff figure some things out regarding his heritage and what took place in Westview during the anomaly.
Ralph is seemingly a paranoid and delusional individual, however you can understand him considering everything he went through.
Peters is always great in his role, and naturally, fans want to see more of him and have been hoping that his latest role in the MCU is not the end. If MyTimeToShineHello, popular insider and scooper, is to be believed, it isn’t.
According to the leaker Peters will reprise his role, however not in ‘Agatha All Along.’
We’re having a hard time figuring out the project in which he might appear, considering that the form his character took in ‘Agatha All Along’ is really specific and won’t exactly fit in every story. Except that is, if you’re aiming for a comic relief.
Fans already developed several theories, ranging from Peters’ Bohner actually being Mephisto (unlikely) and Bohner actually being reincarnated Tommy Maximoff (likely.) If you think about the way Billy reincarnated into Billy Kaplan, we might eventually learn that the same thing happened to Bohner and Tommy actually slipped into his body.
It would be a nice twist and would allow Peters to return to the MCU as a full-fledged speedster rather than a fraud. As you’re likely aware while Wanda’s one twin, Billy inherited her magical powers, her other twin Tommy inherited his uncle’s speed-related powers and is a member of the Younger Avengers under the alias Speed.
