Robert Pattinson Admits He Quit Watching Horror Movies After a Scary (Presumably) Squirrel Incident

Many people love watching horror movies for the thrill and excitement they bring, while others find them too scary to handle. The creepy scenes and jump scares can make some viewers feel uneasy, but for others, it’s all part of the fun.
However, Robert Pattinson, known for his roles in films like Twilight, and The Batman revealed a surprising reason why he stopped watching horror movies — and it all started with a mysterious encounter with a presumably common animal.
Pattinson revealed that he used to watch a lot of darker stuff when he was younger, but he has now become too sensitive to handle the scares: “I watched Henry the other day, and it really scared me. It’s strange you would think it would go the other way around like as you get older you become less frightened of this.” He added.
He then proceeded to explain that he can’t watch horror movies anymore and cited one incident that’s either the scariest or the most hilarious encounter you can imagine: I had to do a meeting with the director and he’d done this horror movie and I watched it, and I kept thinking that someone is breaking into my house and so I was like sitting on myself with two kitchen knives, and like waiting for a person to come in, and then I fell asleep with them, basically in my neck on the couch.
He revealed that his girlfriend found him on the couch and was clearly confused at the scene of him sleeping with two kitchen knives with him. Pattinson said that the ruckus was most likely caused by a squirrel: “It was probably a squirrel.”
Robert Pattinson’s reaction to horror movies may seem unusual to some, but it’s not uncommon for people to be deeply affected by these films. Common reactions include difficulty sleeping in the dark or jumping at even the most innocent sounds. It makes us wonder—would Pattinson be mentally prepared to take on a role in a scary slasher film in the future?
