Rumor Claims there Are No Plans for Miles Morales in the MCU Right Now, But We Might See More of Him After ‘Secret Wars’
There’s been a lot of back and forth about Marvel’s plans for the Young Avengers, especially with recent talk of a possible name change to Champions and a shift to Disney+. This has left many wondering what’s really going on with the team lineup.
Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus recently gave some insight. According to him, calling the team Champions makes more sense because many of the heroes will be older than they were in the comics.
That’s also part of why characters like Riri Williams and Kamala Khan are expected to be included. However, there’s been some confusion about whether other young heroes like Miles Morales and Sam Alexander (Nova) would be joining in.
The short answer? No. Perez explained that Miles is being set up for a separate story in Sony’s rebooted universe, which will come after Secret Wars. As for Nova, Marvel is focusing on introducing Richard Rider first, along with a few members of the Nova Corps. Sam Alexander isn’t expected to show up for quite some time.
It seems Marvel is still figuring things out, and nothing is set in stone. But if the team really does become Champions instead of Young Avengers, that could mean big changes for how these heroes come together. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.
