Rumor: Disney Paid for Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame Star to Boost ‘Snow White’ Promo

Disney’s live-action Snow White is set to hit theaters on March 21, but the marketing campaign has been anything but smooth. The film has faced backlash for years, and now Disney is taking unusual steps to promote it while avoiding controversy.
Unlike most Disney blockbusters, Snow White didn’t begin selling advance tickets until less than two weeks before its release. Normally, Disney’s big live-action films start selling tickets at least a month ahead. This delay has raised concerns about the studio’s confidence in the movie.
A theater industry insider stated, “They’ve been going through the motions, almost as if they just want to get this movie out and move on.”
Despite the late push, Disney has finally ramped up promotion. Billboards are now up across Los Angeles, and the film’s stars, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, have started making media appearances despite loud rumors of there being a conflict between the two of them.
Now industry insider John Rocha claims that Disney paid for Gal Gadot to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a way to promote Snow White. He suggests that this is part of a new PR strategy by Disney.
He also criticizes the situation, calling it “ridiculous,” and questions Gadot’s willingness to take part in what he sees as a fake or staged event. His comment implies that a true honor should be earned rather than arranged for marketing purposes.
Rachel Zegler believes the backlash against Snow White is due to people’s strong feelings for the original film. She views it as a sign of passion and says they can only do their best.
However, political issues have also added to the controversy. Zegler has supported “free Palestine” on social media, while Gal Gadot, who is Israeli, has publicly supported Israel. Gadot recently made a passionate speech condemning people who support Hamas after the October 7 attack, which sparked strong reactions around the world. Gadot had avoided politics before but felt compelled to speak out after the attack.
