As we’ve mentioned before, 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Marvel, both on TV and in theaters. One of the most anticipated projects on the TV front is Daredevil: Born Again, which will mark the full integration of the iconic superhero into the MCU.

The series is set to premiere in March 2025 with a 9-episode first season, and fans are eager to see Charlie Cox’s Daredevil go head-to-head with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin once more. While Kingpin won’t be the only villain, this showdown is the one everyone’s looking forward to.

So far, we’ve heard plenty of rumors and official updates, but the latest buzz—from a popular, though not always reliable, X source—claims the series is fantastic. This news has only heightened fan excitement, building anticipation for what could be a stellar show.

MyTimeToShineHello is one of the most popular sources for superhero rumors, covering both Marvel and DC. While it’s unclear how or where the profile gets its leaks, it frequently shares a lot of insider information. However, it’s not the most reliable source, as many of the rumors have been debunked or proven false. The one we’re focused on is:

The second part of the rumor definitely refers to the fact that the first version of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was a courtroom drama that saw very little Daredevil action. The show was apparently extremely bad, and the fact triggered some massive changes in the development of MCU shows overall.

In late September 2023, after filming six of the first season’s 18 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios decided to revamp the series with a new creative direction. The original head writers, Corman and Ord, along with the remaining directors, were let go after executives reviewed the footage and concluded that the series “wasn’t working.”

Their episodic approach diverged significantly from the Netflix version, notably delaying Charlie Cox’s appearance as Daredevil until the fourth episode. Marvel planned to keep some of the filmed elements while adding new serialized components and shifting closer to the tone of the original Netflix series.

Corman and Ord were expected to retain credit as executive producers. In October 2023, Dario Scardapane, a writer from Netflix’s ‘The Punisher,’ was hired as the new showrunner, reflecting Marvel’s shift towards more traditional showrunners in their television production approach.

The first version of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ did not include Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen and Elden Henson’s Foggy, something which Charlie Cox extensively commented on. The characters were eventually added during reshoots, as well as Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

In the original ‘Born Again’ Karen and Foggy were set to die between the events of Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ which saw massive fan backlash.

However, the first part of the rumor is definitely encouraging, suggesting we’re in for an amazing series—exactly what fans want and deserve. Curious about fan reactions? Here’s a look at some of the comments from beneath the rumor:
