Vision may not have been a mainstream comic book hero, but his popularity has soared thanks to his pivotal role in the MCU. Fans have grown increasingly invested in the character, portrayed by Paul Bettany in both the films and WandaVision. The latter series, which was a major hit, also marked what seemed to be Vision’s tragic end in the MCU.

Technically, Vision met his demise at the hands of Thanos, but he was somewhat resurrected by Wanda in WandaVision. However, when her fabricated reality was shattered, Vision vanished once more. To the delight of many, Vision is set to return in his own standalone series, Vision Quest.

While the series is still a ways off from premiering, it’s already one of the most anticipated projects in the MCU. As such, every new piece of information is worth noting—like the recent rumor we’ve just uncovered, which we’re excited to share with you here.

Vision Quest is still shrouded in mystery, with little known about the project at this stage. Filming is set to begin in early 2025, with the show scheduled for an undisclosed release in 2026 on Disney+.

Initially, Jac Schaeffer was set to lead the series, but she was replaced by Terry Matalas, as we’ve previously reported, due to her commitment to the hit show Agatha All Along

Paul Bettany is set to reprise his role as Vision, which is exciting news for fans, and James Spader will also return to voice Ultron, following his debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While details about the plot remain scarce, it’s confirmed that the series will center on Vision, though the full extent of his role is still unknown.

This lack of concrete information has fueled numerous rumors, and one recent speculation suggests that the series will feature a second lead character alongside Vision—a young adult.

As you can see, this rumor comes from DanielRPK, a well-known and trusted industry insider, so there’s likely some credibility to it. However, it’s always wise to take such claims with a grain of salt until Marvel makes an official confirmation.

While the identity of the character remains unclear, many fans, as shown in the image above, believe it could be Tommy. This theory makes sense, especially considering how Agatha All Along handled Billy’s storyline. Of course, more updates will likely surface, so be sure to stay tuned for further developments.
