Ryan Reynolds Says ‘Deadpool 4’ Would Likely Take a Toll on His Family Life: “My Wife and Children will divorce me”

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ was many years in development, we recently learned that the movie was on its deathbed until Jackman proposed a perfect idea that managed to satisfy the MCU boss, Feige, and just about anyone involved.

And the movie was a hit, premiering to insanely good audience reactions and slightly worse critics scores, it is clear that MCU truly has a hit on its hands.

As both Jackman and Reynolds have stated several times at this point, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ was always meant to be a “one-off” and it was never meant to set up future MCU installments or be a commercial for a different movie. In fact the movie itself references the current messy state of the MCU and the Multiverse Saga, which was a brilliant moment of self-reflection.

However, the heart wants what the heart wants and we want ‘Deadpool 4’ preferably ‘Deadpool & Wolverine 2.’

Reynolds recently had a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and he was asked about the possibility of there being ‘Deadpool 4’ the actor jokingly stated:

Oh, God, no. My wife and children will divorce me.

It’s no secret that Reynolds takes Deadpool quite seriously and over the course of the movie’s development he has had several roles in the movie – actor, writer, producer, this kind of commitment takes a serious toll on your personal life. There are also months of marketing to be taken into consideration. This is, of course, assuming that Reynolds is not simultaneously working on a separate big project.

While the probability of the fourth ‘Deadpool’ movie being developed so soon after the release of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is non-existent, we can certainly hope that both Deadpool and Wolverine will appear in subsequent MCU projects, the latest rumors claiming that we might see them as soon as ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’
