Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most famous actors of his time. Even in his 70s, he acted in many movies and has worked with many well-known actors and directors, including big names like M. Night Shyamalan, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Spike Lee, and Quentin Tarantino.
For our readers, one of his most important roles is that of Mace Windu, one of the most powerful (and badass) Jedi masters of all time.
Jackson frequently comments on his Star Wars role and he hinted strongly in the past that he would love to return. If you’re in the group of people that wants to see him return to his iconic role, you might be in luck.
Popular industry insider and leaker MyTimeToShineHello recently posted a rumor that Jackson is allegedly in talks to return to the Star Wars universe as Windu. Keep in mind that this hasn’t been confirmed by official channels and MTTSH has a somewhat mixed track record.
However, some of the actor’s past statements support this notion as he previously claimed that Windu is not dead and that he wants a solo series focused on Mace Windu:
It’s like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I’m dead and we’ll find out what happened to Mace Windu, I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that’s still around that didn’t actually die.
I could be a ghost hologram, I don’t care, I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won’t because I’ve been in three of them.

When asked if he’d want a solo Mace Windu series like Kenobi on Disney+, Samuel L. Jackson responded with “EVERYTHING YES!!” This isn’t the first time he’s suggested that Mace Windu might still be alive, and with how Star Wars is growing on Disney+, the idea of a solo series for the character seems more possible now, especially if we take these rumors into account.
