When superheroes and comic book characters engage in battle, they often cause significant damage. While this isn’t intentional for most heroes, harm and casualties inevitably occur. At times, heroes do intentionally inflict casualties, as defeating their opponents is crucial for victory.
Though some heroes, like Batman and Superman, may adopt a “no-kill” policy, this is more of an exception than the norm. Generally, superheroes don’t hesitate to eliminate their foes, whether they are monsters, aliens, or other adversaries.
With that in mind, let’s examine the kill count of a key comic book character—specifically, her version in the MCU. We’re talking about Scarlet Witch, and surprisingly, her numbers in the series show that her descent into villainy makes perfect sense.
The information we’re presenting comes from an IMDb list created by user Creedswede, who took the time to document the kill count of both major and minor MCU characters, along with several important notes. According to his findings, Scarlet Witch’s kill count is as follows:
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – 1
- Captain America: Civil War – 2
- Avengers: Infinity War – 127
- Avengers: Endgame – 62
- WandaVision – 11
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – 38
- Total kills: 241+
She also appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but did not record any kills in that film. Additionally, she is rumored to be featured in at least two series (Agatha All Along and Vision), although nothing has been confirmed yet. Her kills from WandaVision are already included in the list above.
With at least 241 confirmed kills, Scarlet Witch ranks among Marvel’s most dangerous characters in this regard. She significantly outpaces most superheroes, such as Captain America and the Hulk, and her kill count is so remarkable that it even surpasses many MCU supervillains. This highlights that her villainous transformation in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is well-supported by the numbers.
As for the future… her character appears to be dead, but that doesn’t hold much weight in the MCU. Rumors suggest she may appear in the upcoming Doomsday and/or Secret Wars films, though this remains unconfirmed.
These figures have been updated as of Deadpool & Wolverine, where Scarlet Witch did not make an appearance, allowing us to assume their accuracy.
