Sebastian Stan’s Comment About Bucky’s Kid Halloween Costume Makes Us Want to See Him as a Dad in the MCU

Sebastian Stan became famous for playing Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Although his role began small, he grew into a key and loved character, especially in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’

Stan will reprise his role as Bucky in the upcoming ‘Thunderbolts*,’ but he is always looking for ways to expand his role further. The actor recently discussed details regarding Bucky’s character during Comic-Con Liverpool 2024 and was asked plenty of interesting questions by the fans.

One interesting question was if he thought Bucky would make a good father.

Yeah, I think so, I think he would make a good dad. I mean, would you guys, wanna see him as dad?

The crowd then erupted in cheers, it’s obvious that this expansion of Bucky’s story would be very welcome. The actor then wondered what his son or daughter would dress up as for Halloween.

“Captain America, exactly!” The actor stated before adding “Iron Man.“

Making Bucky a dad in the MCU would certainly be a drastic change of director for the character. Now that he is no longer working with Steve or Sam, he’s taking on a new group of helpers in the MCU – the new team that will be introduced in ‘Thunderbolts*.’

His time in the franchise seems to be coming to an end, but if they wanted one more storyline, a father role could make sense. This doesn’t have to mean Bucky having his own child—it could also mean him becoming a father figure to a younger superhero.

With his improved mental state, Bucky might feel ready to guide someone else. As the MCU has explored many sides of Bucky’s character, a parenthood storyline could offer a fresh and unique direction. Especially a parenthood storyline tied to the Young Avengers, which has been heavily teased over the last year.
