For many fans, the most eagerly awaited film of the year is Deadpool & Wolverine, currently playing in theaters and featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. After a long wait, audiences can finally see these iconic characters team up on the big screen.

The movie is a global hit and is packed with Easter Eggs that fans are still uncovering. While most of these have been spotted, there might still be a few you missed.

In a recent interview with Variety, director Shawn Levy shared insights into some of the film’s hidden details and revealed his favorite Easter Eggs. We’ve gathered these highlights for those who might have overlooked them.

Director Shawn Levy chatted with Variety about a range of intriguing behind-the-scenes details regarding the film currently dominating theaters worldwide. Here’s what he shared about the Easter Eggs featured in the movie:

Do you have a favorite easter egg or reference in the film?

There is a super classic old-school Thor helmet in the foreground of a void shot that’s from the ’70s or ’80s. It feels so rooted in my own youth. There’s a picture of Tony Stark in Happy Hogan’s office, and we don’t see who is in the picture with Tony. There’s been a lot of fan theories about that, and we conveniently block the other person with an Iron Man helmet. That was a fun shot to line up.

Obviously, the proof that Tony Stark has a heart was one of the most thrilling shots I’ve ever gotten to do in my career because that’s a part of genre history. And then maybe you’ll notice a walk-and-talk scene on a green rolling hillside, and there’s the charred vehicle and trunk from “Plane Trains and Automobiles” inexplicably parked on the hillside. That’s a nod to that movie, which inspired a lot of the DNA of our movie.
