‘Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew’ is the latest Star Wars installment currently releasing episodes weekly on Disney+ until January 14. The show takes place nine years after the Galactic Empire’s fall, four kids discover something on their home planet, At Attin, and get lost in the galaxy. Along the way, they befriend a Force user and go on an adventure to find their way back home.
Jude Law stars as Jod Na Nawood, a charming Force-user who helps the children on their journey. The main group includes Wim, a human boy; Fern, a human girl; KB, Fern’s friend with a cybernetic visor; Neel, an elephant-like alien boy; and SM-33, a worn-down droid first mate of the ship Onyx Cinder.
The show has so far seen a positive critical consensus as one of the most charming installments in the franchise in recent times.
This is why it’s not surprising that the characters are expected to return in the future. According to notable industry insider Daniel Richtman Characters are rumored to appear in Dave Filoni’s upcoming Star Wars crossover movie.
The upcoming Star Wars crossover movie in question shouldn’t be confused with ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ slated for release on May 22, 2026. We have known for some time now that Filoni is slated to direct the Untitled New Republic film which will be produced by Katheleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau. The movie is supposed to wrap up all Mandoverse storylines and serve as big crossover events for characters from ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘Ahsoka.’
Not much is known about the movie currently except that it’s in development. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
