Last month, we found out that Max, the streaming service for many DC shows and movies, was going to make some changes. Four popular DC animated series were set to leave by the start of 2025. On January 1, if you were planning on watching some of your favorite animated shows, you were most likely met by disappointment.
The shows removed include ‘Teen Titans,’ ‘Teen Titans Go!,’ ‘Static Shock,’ and ‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series.’ To make it clear, it’s not only DC Shows that got removed from the streaming service many notable classics like ‘Ed, Edd n’ Eddy,’ ‘The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy’, ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ were also removed.
It’s unclear why the shows were removed in the first place but it’s mostly related to licensing rights and the show will be returned at some point in the future. However, if you’re planning on rewatching them right now, you only have a few options at your disposal.
All five seasons of the 2003 ‘Teen Titans‘ are now available for Prime Video subscribers. However, ‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ (2011) and some episodes of ‘Teen Titans Go!’ (2013) are no longer on Prime due to “expired rights.”
‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ is available on Apple TV via purchase, and ‘Teen Titans Go!’ are available on Hulu.
‘Static Shock’ is not available for streaming right now. However, you can buy all 52 episodes for $1.99 to $2.99 each on platforms like Apple TV+, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google Play Movies, and the Microsoft Store. You can also buy each 13-episode season for $14.99, or the whole series for $59.96.
