‘Spider-Man 4’ was confirmed to be in development last year, but details are still limited. What we do know is that Tom Holland and Zendaya will return to their roles, and Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the movie.
Besides that little is known about the movie. However, even before ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ premiere some strong rumors have been circulating that Venom will eventually crossover to the MCU.
Following ‘Venom 3’ premiere, and if you know the ending of the movie, you know how likely that truly is. Tom Hardy confirmed that he is done with the Venom trilogy, but the actor also claimed that he would be willing to reprise his role in the MCU, and would especially like to fight Spider-Man, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
Now as reported by Cosmic Circus, it appears that Venom will indeed be featured in the upcoming Spider-Man flick.
Sony Pictures Japan has hinted at a possible meeting between Spider-Man and Venom in Spider-Man 4. In a press release dated November 8, 2024, the studio shared details about the film’s production and Tom Holland’s approval of the story.
The release also teased Tom Hardy’s potential involvement as Venom, quoting him saying Venom’s story isn’t over yet and expressing interest in working with Holland. While nothing is confirmed, this could be a major step toward the long-awaited Spider-Man and Venom crossover. The translation is as follows:
“Tom Holland, who plays Peter (Parker), has already given his stamp of approval to the story! “This will be a real movie that fans can respect!”Is Tom Hardy, who plays Eddie in the “Venom” series, ready to take part?”
This is definitely an exciting hint for all fans of Venom who would love to see his story continue. But how could Venom’s story be continued? Well, as long as the Hivemind exists, no symbiote is truly dead. There were also some quite loud and prominent rumors that Carnage and Knull would be featured in the movie as well.
