Sports Advertisment Apparently Leaks the Premiere Date of the New ‘Doctor Who’ Season by Accident

Doctor Who fans could be in for a surprise in 2025. A recent promo during the Under 20s Six Nations Rugby game has accidentally revealed the next season’s premiere date for the popular sci-fi series, it seems.
Ncuti Gatwa will be back as the Doctor, and the new season is set to air on Saturday, April 12, 2025, a full month earlier than we expected. This early release will likely match the premiere on Disney+ in other countries, as the streaming service secured the rights in 2022.
Details on the season are still scarce, but one thing we do know is that Christopher Chung (known for his role in Slow Horses) will join the cast as a character named Cassio. This character will appear in what’s described as one of the darkest, most intense episodes of the series.
The showrunner, Russell T. Davies, expressed his excitement about working with Chung and hinted at some twists in the character’s role—whether Cassio is a friend or foe of the Doctor will keep us guessing.

Chung himself is excited about stepping into the Whoniverse. He shared how surreal it felt to join such an iconic show and praised the new season for delivering all the classic elements of Doctor Who: adventure, heart, and madness. Fans can expect a thrilling ride as the new season unfolds.
