‘Squid Game’ is one of the most popular Netflix shows ever released, and with the second season on the horizon, it’s making a comeback in the pop culture talk. In ‘Squid Game,’ contestants participate in deadly versions of children’s games for a chance to win a huge cash prize.
The games include challenges like “Red Light, Green Light,” tug of war, and marbles, with the losers being eliminated in violent ways. The show explores the lengths people will go to for survival and the consequences of extreme competition.
This concept of a deadly challenge can easily translate to other works of fiction, pitting some of the most popular iconic characters in such a contest. What if it happened in the MCU?
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of ‘Squid Game,’ believes that Tony Stark, even without his suit, would have the best chance of winning the deadly competition. This is all thanks to his intelligence of course.

Iron Man is intelligent yes, but he might face some serious competition from Professor Hulk and Reed Richards, who is set to debut in ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ played by Pedro Pascal.
Hwang Dong-hyuk says season 2 will have new games, some of which were ideas he had for season 1. He also admits he would do well in the honeycomb challenge, using a trick from season 1 where licking the honeycomb makes it easier to remove the shape.
There were some [games] left over from the list of games that I had thought of for season 1. So at least for season 2, it wasn’t as hard to come up with the new games.
