‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ is the next chapter in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise. The show arrives on Disney+ on June 4th and it promises to be a completely different adventure.
The show will be set during the High Republic Era, also known as the Golden Age of Jedi Order due to their overwhelming numbers, and it seems that Headland is trying to use that setting to prove that Jedi don’t have the monopoly on Force and that they too can be bad guys when context is given.
The social embargo for the show was lifted today, and some fans had the opportunity to watch the first two (or four) episodes so we were eagerly awaiting their reactions. Despite the show generating a lot of mixed reactions from the general public in the context of some weird statements made by Headland, being female-led, including lightwhips, and plenty of other stuff that can be perceived as DEI-induced, it seems that positive reactions far outweigh the negative reactions.
So far, the show is being praised for being a brilliant mystery with a talented cast and spectacular action.
Even though the majority of reactions were positive, there are some mixed reviews as well.
