MCU has plenty of projects in the works, both when it comes to movies and its television department. Numerous projects like ‘Nova’ series and ‘Vision Quest’ were confirmed several months ago, but some like ‘Hawkeye’ season 2 and the show focusing on Wiccan are still rumored only.

Now industry insider Daniel Richtman reported on his private Patreon that a Strange Academy show is “officially” in development at Marvel Studios. This is the first time that this specific show was mentioned.

‘Strange Academy’ is a Marvel Comics series about a magical school set up by Doctor Strange in New Orleans to train young sorcerers. The school is open to students from across the Marvel Universe, including humans, Asgardians, demons, and other mystical beings.

The story focuses on the students as they learn to control their powers, face magical challenges, and navigate friendships and rivalries. Characters like Zelma Stanton, Wong, and other Marvel magic users help mentor the students. It’s a mix of magic, adventure, and coming-of-age drama, similar to a superhero version of a wizarding school.

This show, if it turns out to be true has great potential in animation. Considering that Marvel Studios is currently trying to set up the younger generations of superheroes, it’s not surprising that this project would be considered.

Doctor Strange himself is heavily rumored to be an important part of the Multiversal Saga, so it makes sense that magic by extension will also be an important part. There are also pretty loud rumors that the next Saga following Multiverse will focus on magic and mutants. Projects like ‘Blade’ and ‘Midnight Sons’ only support these claims.
