‘Stranger Things 5’ Wraps Filming with a Bunch of New Behind-the-Scenes Photos

Production on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has officially wrapped, marking the end of an era for one of Netflix’s most popular series. The news was shared by Netflix on social media, along with behind-the-scenes photos celebrating the milestone. Fans can expect the final season to premiere sometime in 2025.

The cast and crew have spent nearly a decade bringing the world of Hawkins, Indiana, to life. Reflecting on the journey, Finn Wolfhard shared a heartfelt Instagram post, reminiscing about how the cast grew up together.

“We shot it for a year, and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly,” he wrote, adding a throwback photo from the first season. Noah Schnapp also posted an emotional farewell, calling the show “more than a job” and a “lifelong dream.” He shared lessons he learned from his co-stars, praising their influence on him both personally and professionally.

Season 5 will pick up the story in the fall of 1987, following the cliffhanger ending of Season 4. Viewers last saw the Hawkins gang in a dark place. Vecna appeared defeated, but Will still sensed his presence.

Max was left in a coma after an intense battle, and Hawkins was rocked by a massive earthquake caused by the spreading Upside Down. The emotional stakes and unresolved conflicts set the stage for a high-stakes final showdown.

As for the new season, Netflix has teased some intriguing details, including an official time jump and the titles of the final eight episodes. The series finale, titled “The Rightside Up,” hints at a dramatic conclusion to the story.

Fans are also excited to see the return of the full cast, including Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink, alongside a new addition—Terminator star Linda Hamilton in a mysterious role.

The Duffer brothers, who created the show, described the final season as a “satisfying conclusion.” In a heartfelt post, Ross Duffer reflected on the cast’s journey, saying, “They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family.” He also praised the dedication of everyone involved in bringing the show to life.
