Padmé Amidala is a fictional character that appears in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise created by George Lucas. Introduced in ‘The Phantom Menace,’ she begins as Naboo’s teenage queen, later becoming a senator and anti-war advocate in the Galactic Senate. Secretly marrying Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, she dies during childbirth, driving Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader due to his fear of losing her.
