The highly awaited ‘Marvel Rivals’ hero shooter recently got released and the game absolutely killed it at launch. The game quickly gained 10 million players within 72 hours and reached a peak of 480,990 concurrent players on Steam in December 2024. By December 17, it had surpassed 20 million players. The game made around $135 million in its first month.

It has been praised for its fair monetization, offering free heroes and no pay-to-win elements. The game currently boasts a roster of over 30 heroes that the players can choose from with Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman being the most recently added.

Taking into account that Sue Storm is one of the most popular Marvel characters, as far as female superheroes go, we’re not all that surprised that the character quickly gained a loyal fanbase and incredible popularity.

According to Google Trends, interest in the character has risen 100x since her character in the game launched both for queries related to Sue Storm and Invisible Woman.

Most of those queries are related to ‘Marvel Rivals’ and for both queries Puerto Rico and the US are leading the search! Even though she is a highly popular character, her concept art and her overall game design did spark some debates in the gaming community related to unrealistic body standards.

Invisible Woman excels as an elusive support character, using her invisibility to heal and shield allies while disrupting enemies. She has abilities like a double jump, piercing orb attacks, and a protective shield that heals and slows enemies.

Her ultimate creates an invisible force field that heals allies, counters enemy abilities, and hides teammates from view, offering powerful tactical advantages.

Half of the Fantastic Four team is already in the game, with The Thing and Human Torch set to release sometime during season 1.
