The fourth season of The Boys premiered on June 13, 2024, with its first three episodes marking a significant streaming event. The new season has achieved an impressive Certified Fresh rating of 95%, but it has also faced backlash from fans review-bombing it due to its political undertones.

Despite this, as previously reported, The Boys continues to attract a solid viewership. The premiere saw a 21% increase in viewers compared to previous seasons, although numbers have slightly declined in subsequent weeks. Nonetheless, the series remains robust in terms of its performance.

Recently, the latest Nielsen Ratings were published, confirming our earlier reports about the premiere. Official viewership numbers for the three-episode premiere are now available, and they are undeniably impressive!

Yesterday, on July 11, 2024, the most recent Nielsen numbers were published, providing us with data from a month ago. Despite the delay, these are the first official numbers for The Boys Season 4 premiere as per Nielsen, making them highly relevant. So, what do we know?

Firstly, we can confirm the precise figures. The ratings indicate that during the week of June 10-16, The Boys Season 4 amassed an impressive 1.19 billion viewing minutes. This figure aligns with Amazon’s earlier statement about the season achieving a significant ratings surge compared to previous seasons, which is truly remarkable.

In comparison, The Boys performed admirably against other top contenders in its week of release. Bluey secured fourth place with 1.16 billion viewing minutes, while Richard Linklater’s Hit Man movie closed the 1+ billion group with 1.06 billion viewing minutes in its second week on Netflix, showing a slight increase from the previous week.

Moving to the second confirmation, The Boys Season 4 made an impressive entry into the top three most-watched titles of that week, a significant achievement given the tough competition. Bluey finished fourth, and Hit Man also made it into the top five. Now, the question remains: who surpassed The Boys in viewership that week?

Taking second place is Bryan Cranston’s new series, Your Honor, which achieved an impressive 1.89 billion viewing minutes across Netflix and Paramount+ in its third week on Netflix, marking a significant 24% increase from its debut with 1.53 billion viewing minutes on Showtime. The series’ strong performance reflects its quality and popularity.

And in first place? As you might have guessed, it’s Bridgerton! The Netflix romance series dominated with a staggering 3.47 billion viewing minutes during the week, surpassing the combined total of Your Honor and The Boys.

Nonetheless, this data underscores the success of The Boys Season 4, and we’re delighted to see its performance!
