‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’– Official Concept Art Revealed Ahead of July 25 Release!

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU, set to release on July 25, 2025. Based on set leaks, everything looks promising so far.
The movie will take place in an alternate reality where the Fantastic Four are already an established team. It’s also expected to feature some of their most famous villains.
The cast for First Steps includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, with Moss-Bachrach using CGI and performance capture for his role.
Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, also known as the MCU’s Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson will portray Galactus, one of Marvel’s most powerful villains (depending on how you see him). Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles, and Mole Man is also expected to appear.
As we’re slowly gearing up for the release, official concept art for the movie has been released.
The images showcase the concept for a retrofuturistic version of the New York, Baxter Building, Sue Storm, Reed Richards, and Ben Grimm.
Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in a unique version of the 1960s—a retro-futuristic world that feels familiar but isn’t exactly like our own history. The movie takes inspiration from real 1960s events, like the Space Race and early television, but reimagines them in an alternate universe.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that while the film is a period drama, the cityscapes and details are slightly different from the real 1960s. Director Matt Shakman also described the setting as a “retro-future ’60s,” inspired by artist Syd Mead, emphasizing the era’s sense of optimism.
Since the movie takes place in an alternate reality, it doesn’t fit into Marvel’s main timeline, known as the Sacred Timeline. Instead, it stands on its own as a fresh take on the Fantastic Four.
