It’s been more than two years since Matt Reeves’s DC movie ‘The Batman,’ starring Robert Pattinson, was released. The movie received positive responses from critics and audiences, with particular praise for the atmosphere and the focus on the detective abilities of the World’s Greatest Detective.

Matt Reeves is currently developing a sequel, The Batman – Part II, which is set to be released in October 2026. But before that, the fans will get the next chapter of this epic crime saga with a spin-off series focused on The Penguin, with Colin Farrell reprising the role of the known Batman villain.

Today, the second trailer for the show has been released. ‘The Penguin’ takes place exactly a week following the events of ‘The Batman Part 1’ and following the death of Carmine Falcone, Penguin rises in an attempt to fill up the newly created power vacuum. Oswald will go up against Sofia Falcone and the show was described by Farrell as “gruesome” and “dark.”
