‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the most recently released installment in the MCU, and the movie is currently breaking box office records and entertaining fans worldwide. Much of that success can be attributed to numerous legacy characters from other Marvel properties that appeared in the movie.

We’ve seen Garner’s Elektra, Snipes’ Blade, and Evans’ Human Torch, who all got somewhat fitting conclusions to their own stories, but one character that appeared in the movie might just be at the beginning of his story.

We’re talking about Tatum’s Gambit. Channing Tatum has been advocating for a solo Gambit movie for nearly a decade at this point, with the change of ownership of 21st Century Fox his dreams were tanked since the movie has been permanently shelved. Luckily, Ryan Reynolds has given Tatum’s Gambit a new lease on life and new hope that the actor might portray the character in a solo movie, which the actor hinted at in his most recent interviews.

Even if a solo Gambit movie does not happen, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ might have left the doors open for the character to appear in future MCU projects.

Instagram profile under the name Just The Nobodys recently shared a theory that makes sense and confirms that Gambit managed to escape the Void, which means that he might resurface again.

I have to admit that the plot of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was paper thin, and has so many plot holes and loose ends I could write a separate article only on that topic, however, the post-credit scene might have resolved at least one loose end.

Tatum recently hinted that he talked to Feige and Iger regarding a solo movie, and it’s in god’s hands now:

I sure hope so. From your mouth to God’s ears. Write it into existence, my friend. Please. […] I’ve course I’ve said it. I’ve been saying I want it for the last 10 years. It’s in Bob Iger and Kevin Feige’s hands. I pray to God.
