There’s a Good Chance Scarlet Witch Might Get Resurrected and Brought Back For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ But Casual Fans Might Miss it

Scarlet Witch is one of the most beloved characters in the MCU, mostly due to the way her character has had an overwhelmingly tragic arc. She started out as a somewhat villain, made all the right choices, and eventually lost everyone before turning into a villain once more. Her final moment of redemption came in a moment of heartbreak when she decided to sacrifice herself, end her insane rampage, and destroy every copy of Darkhold in existence.

For all we know, Scarlet Witch is currently dead in the MCU, although there have been rumors that the character is getting a standalone movie, the latest round of rumors pointed in the direction of it being quietly shelved by the studio.

Wanda however doesn’t need a solo movie to be brought back into the MCU. The next big opportunity to see her return might be an upcoming miniseries ‘Agatha All Along.’ ‘Agatha All Along’ will see Agatha escape her imprisonment and will put her on track to reclaim her powers. Along the way, she will gather a makeshift coven of witches to help her traverse the witches’ road.

Despite the show having great potential, plenty of fans have already declared they aim to skip it not liking the overall musical themes, and overall vibe of the show, especially in light of the announcement that Joe Locke’s character will be gay.

If you’re wondering how Wanda might be connected to the show, well, Locke seems to be the key. The young actor will be portraying Billy Kaplan, (also known as Wiccan in the comics) or, also known as, one of Scarlet Witch’s sons.

Having Kaplan in the show is a big deal, since ‘Agatha All Along’ might set the foundation for adapting the Children’s Crusade storyline, something that’s been rumored for quite a while now.

The Children’s Crusade’ is a Marvel Comics storyline that primarily involved the characters from the Young Avengers and the Scarlet Witch. The storyline was published in 2010-2011 as a nine-issue miniseries.

In ‘The Children’s Crusade,’ the Young Avengers, a group of teenage superheroes, embark on a quest to find and confront the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff. The Scarlet Witch caused a catastrophe with reality-warping abilities, and her actions in the ‘Avengers Disassembled’ and ‘House of M’ storylines had significant consequences for the Marvel Universe.

Billy could potentially use Agatha or Witches Road, once she reclaims her power to bring back “his mother.” After all, Agatha is rather powerful, perhaps not as powerful as the Scarlet Witch but she does have enough juice to potentially kickstart a series of events that might see Wanda alive again.

But as I’ve mentioned, casual fans might miss these moments due to avoiding ‘Agatha All Along’ and its specific themes. Scarlet Witch might be back for ‘Doomsday’ and a significant portion of the fandom might be left puzzled due to skipping the show.
