Third-Person Action Horror ‘Code Violet’ Announced for a July 2025 Release
TeamKill Media, the studio behind Quantum Error and the upcoming Son and Bone, has just announced their next big project: Code Violet. Set for release on PlayStation 5 in July 2025, this third-person action horror game looks like it will scratch our itch for a Dino Crisis experience.
The game’s story takes place in the 25th Century, where Earth has been destroyed in a cataclysm, leaving it uninhabitable. The survivors of this disaster left the planet and settled on Trappist 1-E, a new world in hopes of rebuilding.
But there’s a big problem: humanity is sterile. Without the ability to reproduce, the human race is on the verge of extinction.
In a desperate attempt to survive, a group of Earth’s last remaining people, known as Aion, creates a technology to travel through time. They start bringing women from different time periods to Trappist 1-E to serve as surrogates.
Among these women is Violet Sinclair, who is pulled from her own time and sent to this new world. However, things take a dark turn when Violet discovers that there is more to the Aion colony’s plan than it seems. She soon finds herself trapped in a deadly conspiracy and must fight to stay alive.
Code Violet promises an intense mix of survival horror and time travel, with plenty of action to keep us on the edge of our seats. The trailer hints at some thrilling, Dino Crisis-inspired gameplay, making this one to watch closely as we head into 2025.
