‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ are the most highly-awaited MCU projects. While not much is known about the plot of the movies, we can assume that ‘Time Runs Out’ and ‘Secret Wars’ storylines will be loosely adapted.

The Multiverse is in peril and it seems that incursions are to blame. Even though Doctor Doom is being set up as the main villain, the circumstances of his involvement with the whole affair are still unknown.

We know that ‘Secret Wars’ in particular are going to involve a large number of characters. If insider reports turn out to be true, there are already over 50 characters teased for the movie.

Several teams as well will appear at some point, and now industry insider Alex Perez revealed that two new teams in particular will have a key role in the movies.

Alex Perez explained that the Thunderbolts will play a key role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ while the Young Avengers aren’t fully formed yet, but some of their members, like Cassie Lang, Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, and Kate Bishop, will be involved. He also mentioned that Franklin will be a major character in the next two ‘Avengers’ films.

Alex Perez: Thunderbolts will definitely be important in Avengers: Doomsday. The Young Avengers aren’t really formed yet, but some of their members, like Cassie Lang, Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, America Chavez and Kate Bishop are going to play a part in this as well. Oh, and Franklin. Franklin’s a major character in the next two Avengers films.

This isn’t all that surprising considering that MCU has been teasing other teams for quite some time now. Thunderbolts are set to debut next year with the release of eponymous movie, while Young Avengers have been teased during ‘The Marvels.’

When it comes to Franklin Richards, this is not the first that his role has been described as “very important.’ Young Franklin will reportedly have a connection to Galactus, and it’s been speculated that the Fantastic Four’s fight against Galactus will be “very personal” due to Galactus demanding that Sue and Reed deliver their son to him.

Taking into account his godlike powers in the comics, it’s possible that he will be the one to either make or break the Multiverse, depending on how faithfully the studio wants to adapt the comics.
