‘To Be Hero X’ to Release 10 Character-Focused Shorts Ahead of Anime’s April Premiere

You might not know it immedately, but To Be Hero X is a new anime project that stems fro the Chinese-Japanese series To Be Hero. The original 12-episode anime appeared in 2016 and was followed by a 7-episode sequel titled To Be Heroine. Now, To Be Hero X, the latest installment, is heating up for an April premire.

In light of that, the producers have decided to release 10 special character shorts on 10 consecutive days, starting today, March 12, 2025. This will certainly be a very interesting and exciting moment for the fans.

The franchise itself is a popular collaboration between bilibili and Aniplex set in a world where a hero’s ranking is determined based on their “trust level”. The first of the upcoming character videos will focus on Nice, a hero ranked No.10:

The short features the song “PARAGON” by Hiroyuki Sawano, which fans will be able to enjoy. As for the content, the video showcases Nice gracefully fighting off an enemy that is wreaking havoc in the city and rescuing a young girl. Natsuki Hanae, who voices Nice, commented, “Nice is not a simple character who can be defined easily.

Hanae added: “When I first saw Nice, I got the impression that he was a classic, orthodox hero. While performing the role, I focused on embodying justice and earning the trust of the people. I can’t say much more… Please look forward to the broadcast to find out!
