Always straddling the line between hero and villain, Loki has changed allegiances multiple times. However, his standalone series demonstrated that he isn’t inherently evil, which is crucial for his overall characterization. This is why we’ve decided to analyze his kill count in the MCU.

The information we’re sharing comes from a list created by IMDb user Creedswede, who meticulously documented the kill counts of both major and minor MCU characters, including several important notes. According to the data provided, Loki’s kill count is as follows:

  • Thor – 18
  • The Avengers – 25
  • Thor: The Dark World – 5
  • Thor: Ragnarok – 14
  • Total kills: 62+

In addition to this, Loki has appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as well as in the series Loki and What If…?.

However, he did not kill anyone in those projects, so there are no additional kills to report from them. Based on the available information, we can conclude that Loki has killed at least 62 people in the MCU, placing him in the mid-tier range for kill counts.

While he has taken lives, many of his kills were against enemies and NPCs, which isn’t surprising given that Loki has served as a villain in several films.

Considering this context, it’s clear that Loki isn’t as terrible as he might seem; in fact, there are several heroes in the MCU with significantly higher kill counts than his.

Looking ahead, Loki is expected to play a major role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, although it remains uncertain whether this will affect his kill count. Regardless, the numbers suggest that Loki isn’t really a bad guy.

These figures have been updated as of Deadpool & Wolverine, where Loki did not make an appearance, so we can assume their accuracy.
