Tom Holland Reveals Heartwarming Wish to Support Miles Morales in the MCU Like Robert Downey Jr. Supported Him

In large part due to the overwhelming success of the animated series of films, Miles Morales is fast becoming one of Marvel’s most popular characters. Miles is currently not part of the MCU, but if recent rumors are correct that’s soon to change.

The rumors range from Miles being in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4’ installment, to having a role in ‘Secret Wars’ however none of this was confirmed by official sources.

The character is currently voiced by Shameik Moore, but a few names have been put forward to play the character once he debuts in live-action.

Amy Pascal stated more than half a year ago that they will consider a live-action Miles Morales movie when they make two more movies, likely referring to the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ and ‘Spider-Man 4.’

As you are likely aware MCU currently has Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland and there’s been talk that young Miles might replace him. In his recent interview with Rich Roll, however, Holland stated that he would be lucky to have Miles in the same universe as him.

The actor stated that he would love to do for Miles what Downey has done for him:

If I would be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU, Id love to do for a young kid what [Robert] Downey [Jr.] did for me.

Tom Holland also shared that Robert Downey Jr. advocated for the Russo Brothers to include all of Holland’s Spider-Man lines from his audition for ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ as many had been cut for the film.

Holland stated he wants to support a live-action Miles Morales actor in a similar way if the character ever joins the MCU, feeling fortunate to have received such backing himself.

Holland and Downey had quite the connection both on-screen and off-screen as the actor also shared he knew that Downey was returning as Doom before it was officially announced.
